Position: Event Travel Coordinator

Purpose of the Role:
- To provide the highest possible level of assistance to the Event Travel team overall
- To develop relationships across all areas of Reed & Mackay, sharing best in class market knowledge of Event Travel
- To ensure maximum revenue generation in all areas of Reed & Mackay Event Travel while always ensuring significant return on investment to the client
Key Responsibilities:
- As a primary client liaison of the Event Travel Department, you will further the vision and goals of R&M by providing outstanding support across the US.
- Assist our travellers with best-in-class personalized travel support, by helping them resolve issues before, during, and after travel. This may require helping with basic cancellations, changes, and updates to hotel, flight, car, and/or rail bookings.
- Provide accurate and detailed fare information for hotel, flight, car, and rail bookings, as needed.
- Troubleshoot issues by regularly referring to our agent tools for guidelines on how to best assist the traveller.
- Participate in regular team meetings to ensure you are up to date on new product launches, industry updates and exciting team initiatives and programs.
- Constantly improve your travel industry and platform knowledge so we continue to set the standard for best-in-class travel agents.
- Training in Navan/R&M Systems
Skills Required:
- Minimum one year travel planning experience preferred.
- Professional oral and written communication skills required.
- 2+ years of GDS experience preferred.
- Proficient MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills along with the technical aptitude to learn innovative technology.
- Ability to multitask with a desire to resolve urgent matters as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- An empathetic disposition with the ability to always maintain a professional attitude.
- An independent thinker who can use available resources to troubleshoot issues and resolve customer inquiries.
